GUEST BLOG: As owners of four dogs, finding holiday accommodation can be surprisingly difficult. While many cottages advertise themselves as dog-friendly, most limit stays to one or two dogs, which can make planning a trip frustrating for larger dog families.
After spending hours searching for somewhere that would welcome all four of our dogs, we discovered Rowley Farm Holidays. What we found was not only accommodation that accepted four dogs, but one of the most genuinely dog-friendly places we have ever stayed.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that dogs are genuinely welcomed at Rowley Farm.
Check-in was incredibly smooth thanks to Clare, who was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Communication before arrival was excellent and she even accommodated a last-minute request for a dog crate, which was waiting for us when we arrived.
Perfect holiday cottage for dogs
The cottage itself was spotless, comfortable and well equipped. Parking was conveniently located directly outside the property, making it easy to unload luggage and settle in with four excited dogs.
Inside, we found a thoughtful selection of dog-friendly extras including treats, dog bowls and poo bags, as well as some goodies for humans from the local farm shop. These small touches immediately made us feel at home and showed the level of care that has gone into creating a welcoming environment for guests travelling with dogs.
One of the biggest challenges when holidaying with dogs is finding somewhere with a genuinely secure outdoor space.
The Stables has a fully enclosed garden that gave us complete peace of mind throughout our stay. We could relax knowing the dogs could enjoy being outside safely without us having to constantly worry about potential escape routes.
For anyone travelling with multiple dogs, especially dogs with a sense of adventure, this feature alone makes the property stand out.
Dedicated Dog Wash Station
“One of our favourite features was the dedicated dog wash station. After exploring the local countryside and walking through muddy fields, it was incredibly useful to be able to wash the dogs before returning to the cottage.”
The wash area was fully equipped with shampoo and had thoughtful additions such as peanut butter and a lick mat to help keep dogs occupied during bath time. It was one of those details that made us smile and reinforced just how dog-focused the whole experience is.
On our final day, we also made use of the secure paddock on site. It gave the dogs the opportunity to have one last run around and burn off some energy before the drive home. Having access to a safe enclosed exercise area was another fantastic benefit that we rarely find at holiday accommodation.
While the dogs certainly enjoyed themselves, we did too. One of the highlights of our stay was the hot tub bath, which we enjoyed on our second evening. After a day spent walking and exploring, it was the perfect way to unwind and relax.
The location is ideal for anyone looking to explore Worcestershire and the surrounding countryside. We visited the nearby farm shop, which quickly became a favourite stop for breakfast and lunch. The café served amazing food and provided a lovely place to relax before heading out for the day.
We also followed one of the recommended walks on the Rowley Farm website and spent a day exploring the beautiful Malvern Hills. The scenery was stunning and the route was perfect for both us and the dogs.
On our second evening, we travelled to Madresfield, around 25 minutes away, where we enjoyed an excellent meal at The Butcher & Grill. It was a fantastic way to end a day of walking and sightseeing.
Multiple dog holiday paradise
For anyone with multiple dogs, you will understand how difficult it can be to find high-quality accommodation that welcomes more than two dogs while still providing comfort, space and secure outdoor areas.
Rowley Farm Holidays does not simply accommodate larger dog families. It actively caters for them.
The combination of a secure garden, dedicated dog facilities, a secure paddock, beautiful local walks and thoughtful touches throughout made this one of the most enjoyable and stress-free holidays we have had with our four dogs.
If you are looking for a truly dog-friendly getaway and have struggled to find accommodation that welcomes larger canine families, The Stables at Rowley Farm Holidays is well worth considering.
We left already talking about when we could come back.
