The Old Dairy at Rowley Farm
We stayed in the most beautiful cottage at Rowley Farm, called The Old Dairy. After
travelling through the English countryside, we arrived at our delightfully rural spot for
the weekend! The cottage was an absolute haven for both two and four-legged
guests looking for relaxation and adventure. Rowley Farm well and truly earned the
title of being “dog-friendly”.
We were welcomed by the charm of the open-plan, light-filled sanctuary. The
thoughtful touches, from a human and pup goody hamper (which Peggy very much
enjoyed – such a thoughtful treat) to the snug bedding inviting us for a restful night’s
sleep, set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The bed itself was so comfortable that
we didn’t want to get up in the mornings and enjoyed a coffee in bed both days!
One of the highlights for both us and Peggy was the enclosed garden with a log-fired
hot tub. While we were able to completely relax and switch off, Peggy roamed freely,
in a safe space to play and sniff around. The fact that dogs are welcomed onto the
furniture only adds to the sense of home away from home too! We love nothing
more than finishing our day with a snuggle on the sofa.
Speaking of home comforts, the big bathroom with a waterfall shower (and Rowley
Farm embroidered robes… amazing!), fully equipped kitchen, and comfy sofa with
Netflix (and more) ensured that even the rainy days and dark evenings were spent in
the cosiest manner. During our stay we utilised the kitchen and stayed in for dinner
both nights, using local food bought from the farmer’s market. We finished our stay
off by having a pancake feast too!
The surrounding area was perfect for outdoor enthusiasts like us, with an
abundance of countryside walks. Our favourite was undoubtedly the Malvern Hills,
where breathtaking views and winding trails provided the perfect backdrop for
exploring with Peggy. Not only this – but we were also able to visit the Cotswold
Wildlife Park (which allows dogs!) too. She enjoyed every second and was able to
spend the rest of her days relaxing at the cottage.
We were also delighted by the outdoor doggy wash – equipped with everything a dog
owner would need for a muddy and dirty dog! Even down to the peanut butter and
Lickimat, doggy shampoos, and safety clips so you don’t have soggy dogs on the
loose!
Our stay at The Old Dairy at Rowley Farm was completely magical, and we felt so
lucky to be able to stay somewhere so beautiful. From the dog-friendly amenities to
the rural tranquility and complete relaxation with the hot tub. If you’re looking for a
getaway where both you and your doggy companions can unwind and create core
memories, then look no further than this idyllic stay. We can’t think of anywhere
better than here to spend a weekend. We would recommend it to all and wouldn’t
hesitate to come back!
