My hoomans like to think of me as the world’s fastest couch potato…I have a bit of greyhound, Saluki and Sloughi in me, so I sleep like a baby and then run like the wind!
I was rescued by mum and dad from Bath Cats and Dogs Home, after I was found all cold and hungry on the Salisbury Plain.
Being a rescue dog means I’m not the easiest, I sometimes worry my hoomans won’t come back and I can get spooked really easily.
Mum loves to take me out for walks but all the roads, traffic and noise scare me, so she drives me out into the countryside where it is nice and quiet.
This summer, my Homans decided to take me on holiday. They knew leaving me at home gets me very stressed so they found somewhere I could come too!
From the moment I arrived at Rowley I knew it was going to be great, I had my own big garden and because of the fence mum could let me roam freely in the garden. Mum was happy too, she had underfloor heating, a wood fire hot tub and an orchard to look out over.
Mum loved the fact that the Hideaway hut faced away from the farm as she said it kept me nice and calm.
My hoomans took me out for dinner on both nights, we visited the Holt Fleet and The Cross Keys and both were happy for me to be there. I was allowed to sit next to mum and I got lots of fuss and plenty of dog biscuits too!
There were so many amazing walks for us to go on, we walked out of the farm and straight onto the fields. No need to get in the car to drive anywhere and mum said it was great for me as it was so peaceful.
My best bit had to be, being given a secure 5 acre field to run off lead in on the farm. Mum says I’m a bit of a wanderer, so she rarely lets me off my long lead. Oh and saying hi to the sheep, they were super friendly and not as scary as I thought they would be.
Mum says if I’m a good boy we can come back again next year!’
