Vinnie stays at ‘The Stables’ with Rowley Farm Holidays

We recently had the pleasure of staying with Rowley Farm Holidays in “The Stables”. This one-bedroom cottage offered an open-plan living space, a wood-fired outdoor bathtub, friendly farm animals, luxury interiors and really was the most perfect and comforting countryside getaway.

A Warm Welcome

We were due to arrive late at Rowley Farm Holidays and after catching up with Clare, the owner prior to our arrival, she had made sure that there was a travel cot in our cottage. Knowing we would arrive late, it had been put up and was all ready to put our little one to bed when we arrived. Once the little man was in bed, we got on with lighting up the wood fired outdoor bathtub. The perfect way to start our weekend away!

We were pleasantly surprised with how secure and private the garden was for Vinnie, a big thumbs up from us. Inside the cottage we instantly felt at home and were met with a blend of rustic charm and modern comforts, and the log burner in the living room made our evenings super cosy and was certainly enjoyed by Vinnie.

Every room in the stables was beautifully decorated and furnished. The open plan kitchen had everything you needed for a self-catered holiday and there was a welcome package for us and a doggy towel and biscuits for Vinnie.

We always take blankets for Vinnie to make himself at home on sofas but there were also blankets provided by the cottage for dogs to sleep on. The bedroom was beautiful and we loved the electronic Velux window blinds and TV for lazy mornings… although we didn’t get chance to experience one of those with our energetic dog and an 18 month old!

The bed was super comfortable and the bedding felt luxurious, so we really felt like we were enjoying a 5 star weekend away. The ensuite bathroom was equally beautiful and toiletries had been provided.

We also loved that there were extra fluffy bathrobes provided and made use of these when using the outdoor hot tub!

Farmyard Friends

Rowley Farm introduced us to a delightful cast of characters on the farm; pigs, goats, friendly farm dog and even an outdoor dog wash. Both Vinnie and our 18 month old enjoyed meeting the farm animal and Vinnie was happy in the luxury dog wash area!!

The Local Area

A leisurely hike around Ombersley allowed us to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of Worcestershire. The rolling hills and lush landscapes provided a perfect backdrop for our family adventure. We strolled at our own pace, enjoying the fresh air and the serenity of the countryside.

This was followed by a delicious lunch at Checketts Fine Foods in Ombersley. We definitely recommend checking this place out and thank Clare the owner of Rowley farm holidays for recommending this place to us.

We spent 2 nights at the stables and honestly could have been there much longer. The local area has so much to offer and so many dog and family friendly places to explore.

Overall

The open plan living space, luxurious interiors and secure and private garden made the stables one of the best places we’ve ever spent time away with Vinnie. We were able to completely relax knowing that the garden was totally secure and it was big enough for him to enjoy sniffing around and relaxing in. He was also super cosy in the evening by the log burner inside. We found the stables itself feel super luxurious and made us feel like we were on a 5 star holiday.

We’ll be back!
